This product is a natural mixture of various Lavandula species, along with other natural constituents. Lavender 40/42 is a standardized quality that was developed to provide a more crisp and herbal profile to lavender, which many consumers tend to associate with a typical lavender. The 40/42 references the relationship between the two main constituents, Linalool to Linalyl Aceate. Lavandin is known to have a stronger, more fragrant aroma compared to lavender. This is likely due to the presence of elevated levels of camphor within lavandin when compared to lavender, which leads to a crisp profile. The flower colors are darker and have a longer shape, with three flower heads on a stem compared to one. Lavandin has been said to help repel insects and moths while still having a beautiful, fresh floral fragrance!
