This particular lemon quality replicates what is known as a 5-fold lemon profile. To produce this quality, lemons are cold pressed, followed by distillation to concentrate heavier molecules within the oil. These heavier constituents lend themselves to a more intense, sweet, lemony profile when compared to standard cold-pressed or distilled oils. Our Lemon 5X Natural contains lemon oil and other natural constituents to mimic this profile at a lower price point. Lemons, originally from South Asia, are the source of the zingy, sharp, citrusy lemon essential oil. In history, due to its high vitamin C content, lemon fruits were highly sought after by sailors in the British Navy to ward off the effects of scurvy and other nutrient deficiencies.
